This is a great site that is connected to the Blount Co. Animal Shelter. It is a killing shelter, so if you see your pet, move quickly!!!
http://www.blountviews.com/taxonomy/term/64   Not as widely used of a website, but you never know if the found person has a computer or not and this is the only site recommended to them. So it is worth the effort for the diligent.

Posted Lost: July 5th, 2008. Found: July 10th, 2008
"Abby" came to us as a lost dachshund mix on the 5th of July from a couple in Louisville, TN. They thought she was pregnant and in labor. Thanks to the valient efforts of Michelle, This not-pregnant but very health pet went home to her family on the 10th. Be encouraged--your pet can be found!!!
#3 Tip: Make sure your dog always has a collar/harness and tag on at all times. This makes locating your pet much easier!!!!
#2 Tip: Offer a small reward for your pet. If the finder of your pet is considering to keep your pet, they may contact you instead for the reward. Make it something you can afford but worth it to the finder!!
#1 Tip: Contact the shelter in your area about your missing pet in person. Bring a current photo of your pet with you. Most of the humane societies WANT to find the pets owner.
