ADOPTIONS
Available Adoptions...
Having been in the dog business for almost 11 years now, Puppy Luv Farms frequently gets calls from folks needing to find a home for small dogs they can no longer keep, or strays show up at our door wandering in our neighborhood. Due to very limited space, we are not able to take in all of them--we can only do what we can. We "fix" them, love them, try to locate their owners, and then work hard to find another home for them. We can only take in one at a time, so if you are reading this thinking you are going to call and request us to take in a dog, rest assured--there is no space.  However, there are two non-killing humane societies available here in Knoxville.
We consider it a privilege to "give back," meaning, that as PLF takes in more business, a certain percent of the monies go back into a homeless animals. All the other monies earned go back into the dogs--meaning, to purchase their food, treats, toys, vet care, etc. My husband and I have our own means of income, so this is the dog's means of survival. We understand that in this economy, folks are looking for ways to save their money and still go on vacation. However, please keep in mind that PLF dogs and any additional stragglers need to eat too. Donations/tips over and above the list requested price of the adoption are welcome.

Our guarantee to you: All of our adoptions are kept for a minimum of two weeks to ensure social needs; and that, should you desire to adopt a dog from us, it will have been to the vet, de-flea and wormed, updated shots, and current health record of everything done to date.

Skippy came to us in a very sorry shape and condition. His skin had a severe yeast and bacteria infection. He could not eat due to misery. But, 6 months later.....
As you can see, Skippy is now at a good weight and much improved on his skin. He will never be completely healed--his skin problems are chronic. But the infection is gone. A good shampooing 2-3 times a week will keep him in fine order.
CONGRADULATIONS SKIPPY!!!! Cindy is a loving and sweet lady who was happy to give Skippy a second chance at a good quality of life as of Sept. 2008. Look at them.... This makes it all worth it.
Ready for adoption...
This is Carolina-- a 2 yr old, long hair Deer Chihuahua. She weighs 4-6lbs. Her hair is thin at the hind quarters due to a past problem of fleas, but otherwise no other health problems have presented themselves. The owners had to move into a home that did not allow pets. She is very picky about what she eats, but we have finally figured out what she likes and her weight is increasing. She is very shy, but once she warms up to you she is very loving. She is cold blooded and likes to wear warm sweaters or sleep on a warm bed. If you think you would like to give Carolina a good home, please call to make an appointment to come meet her and spend a little time with her. All shots updated.
Congradulations Carolina!!! Carolina found a home the middle of October with a nice Mexican family who owned another beautiful Chihuahua. GOOD LUCK!!!
This is "Marley" a wonderful Lab mix, female, that was dropped off here about 6 wks ago by a customer. She was full of worms, lice, and had over 200 ticks on her--nearly dead, shaking, very weak from the loss of blood, and bloated from malnutrition. Now, as you can see, she is a healthy spoiled pet. She is approximately 6 mo old (per vet), shots current (includes rabies), spade, heart-worm negative, and house broke. We don't expect her to get over 40lbs--so size of a very small lab in body stucture and personality. I have started clicker training her and she has been VERY quick to learn basic commands. Because we have so much vet care into her, I really need $75 for her to help re-coop some of our loss.  She is very sweet and loving, loves other dogs, people, and children of all ages. Would make a wonderful pet for a family. Please consider giving her a home.
Our next rescue story...
Red male, short hair, approximately 16 weeks old in need of a home. VERY FRIENDLY and lively. Price of $150 includes shots (including rabies), worming, and vet check. Ready to go by Sept 18, 2009. We call him "Davy"
A good friend of mine that died last week, left behind 3 dachshund puppies in desperate need of a home. We believe the boys to be brothers. None of them have papers even though we tried to get them from the family when we purchaced the puppies to get them out of a bad situation...
Red male, short hair, approximately 16 weeks old in need of a home. VERY FRIENDLY and lively. Price of $150 includes shots (including rabies), worming, and vet check. Ready to go by Sept 11, 2009
The 2nd red male, short hair, approximately 16 weeks old in need of a home. Friendly and lively, but more laid back than his brother. Price of $150 includes shots (including rabies), worming, and vet check. Ready to go by Sept 18, 2009. I call him "Samuel" I will work a deal if you would consider taking both males in order to keep them together. Let's talk.
The little girl is approximately 9 mo old (confirmed by the vet), weight is about 5 lbs. She is underweight and has been treated for a flea infestation. She needs a couple of weeks for her hair to grow back in. To our knowledge, she is not related to the boys. She is shy to humans but loves other dogs and likes to investigate her surroundings. Quiet personality but quickly warming up the more we have loved on her. She will be ready to go Sept 21, 2009. Price of $300 includes, vet check, all shots, and her being spade (done 9/8/09). We call her "Annabelle"
All of these dogs, to this point in their lives, have only been living in a 10X10 kennel, so all of them will need to be encouraged with housebreaking, leash training, socialization, etc. We are starting all of this process with all 3 of them, but the girl being older, is further behind from where she should be developmentally.
If you think you would like to be considered to take one of these special doxies in, please see our contact page for further steps to take. Thanks for looking.

HAPPYILY ADOPTED AND SENT TO HER NEW HOME IN MONTANA!!! Here she is riding home in the lap of her new owner... CONGRADULATIONS ANNABELLE (NOW ANNA BELLA)!!
This is Maggie Mae, now 8 wks old!! She is a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix pup that came from a puppy-mill. She has a Yorkie's personality...
This is Maggie's sister, Mellon Colley who is smaller and quieter than her sister. She has more of the Chihuahua personality...
They will not be ready to go till PLF has given them 3 vaccinations which will be after March 16th. Due to their very small size and rough start, we want to make sure they are able to make the transition to a new home. We prefer that they stay together and don't expect them to get over 5-6 lbs once they are full grown... We are asking $200 each for them, but are willing to come down in price if someone will agree to give both of them a good home!!
CONGRADULATIONS MAGGIE AND MELLON COLLEY, YOU BOTH HAVE BEEN ADOPTED TO A NEW HOME WHERE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO STAY TOGETHER!!
